Follow the royal line from Gorm the Old to Frederik X.
In the exhibition "The Crocheted Royal Lineage" you can see 54 monarchs in miniature format. Christine Sørensen has crocheted history, showing the transition from proud Viking kings who erected Jelling's monuments to a modern royal house with popular events like the Royal Run.

After the Queen's speech, Christine got an idea
In her 2017 New Year's address, Queen Margrethe II encouraged the Danes to do something useless, something in colors. When Christine Sørensen from Valby heard this, it became the starting shot for an inspiring project. Christine wanted to knit all the reigning kings and queens of the last 1,000 years. It has now become 54 monarchs who tell Danish history with yarn and a twinkle in the eye.

History is still being crocheted
King Frederik X is the latest member of the crocheted royal line. He's decorated with a medal from the Royal Run, illustrating how the king's role in society has changed: from Viking king to people's king.
