Public entrance

If you are arriving by car, head for Kollegievej 22, and if you are arriving by bus, the address is Herningvej 3A.

If you are cycling or walking, head for Gormsgade 23, 7300 Jelling, but note that the main entrance faces Vestergade.

Parking

A new large parking lot with charging stations and a special section for motorhomes is located at Kollegievej 22, and bus parking is available at Herningvej 3A.

Bicycles

Kongernes Jelling is located on both the Hærvejsruten (national cycle route 3) and Middelalderruten (regional cycle route 35), and we offer free bike pumps and repair kits.

Public transport

You can get to Kongernes Jelling by train and bus.

From the station in Jelling, you can see the monuments, and the walk to Kongernes Jelling takes 4 minutes.

From Jelling Station, there are hourly trains to/from Vejle (with connections to Aarhus, Aalborg, Billund, Fredericia, Odense, Copenhagen, Kolding, Sønderborg, Esbjerg) and Herning/Struer (with connections to Skjern, Silkeborg, Holstebro, and Thisted). Four times a day, there is a direct express train connection to/from Odense/Copenhagen.

On weekdays, there is also an hourly bus connection to Vejle on route 211.
